I got my degree in accounting and to me shrinkage is an accounting term that means “theft of inventory”. However Tara Smith defined intellectual shrinkage as a decline in your ability to think in abstract concepts — a critically important aspect separating human life from animals. What are the costs of such a shrinkage then?
