Presenting Mark Shupe in the eighth episode of The Moneyball Method podcast. Today he speaks on “Baseball’s Connection with Personal Finance”. In this episode he explains why he chose to use Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game — a book by Michael Lewis as the inspiration for his method that helps you make better personal finance decisions.
Published in 2003, the book is about the Oakland Athletics baseball team and its general manager Billy Beane. It describes the team’s approach to assembling a competitive baseball team on a small budget. It was later made into a movie with Brad Pitt.
